If you had the ability to stop a hurricane, to prevent an earthquake or in any way positively affect the outcome of any other natural disaster, would you do it? Of course you would, we all would. Well you now have a chance to positively affect an ongoing disaster that is currently happening in all of our cities and towns across the nation. There are thousands of people who have been cut adrift from their spiritual foundations and are drifting aimlessly hoping and praying for someone to give them 'safe harbor.'

Our organization, CITI Ministries (Celibacy Is The Issue), started in 1992, has organized hundreds of married Roman Catholic priests who, for the last 17 years, have made themselves available to these people who have nowhere else to go for spiritual comfort or to meet their sacramental needs. Now, with your help and assistance, we, the lay members of CITI Ministries will bring these two groups together in a more formal way. We are forming small communities of these people in need along with one or more of our priest members, so together they may find the spiritual comfort and satisfaction the Lord intended us to have. As I travel my faith journey, I have met many people who “try out” churches. They go from one denomination to another, one worship service to another, not frivolously but with the fervor of a pilgrim in search of a place and a people who meet their needs.
